Delete your Dinnerkin account

This page explains how to delete your account for Dinnerkin: Family Meal Planner, published on the App Store and Google Play by [COMPANY NAME], and the data that goes with it.

Before you start: cancel your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — Apple or Google bill it, so cancel it in your store settings first. See how to cancel.

Option 1: in the app

Open Dinnerkin and sign in.
Go to Settings → Delete account.
Confirm. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.

Option 2: without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, or can’t sign in:

Email hello@dinnerkin.com with the subject “Delete my Dinnerkin account”.
Send it from the email address linked to your account, or tell us the details you use to sign in.
We may ask you to confirm the request, so we only delete the right account. We then delete it and email you when it’s done.

What we delete

Your account and sign-in details
Household settings: supermarket, budget, servings, equipment, cooking time
Household members, including their diets, allergens and foods to avoid
Meal plans, swaps, locked weeks, shopping lists and meals marked as cooked
Your push-notification token and the analytics and subscription-provider records linked to your account

What we keep, and for how long

Subscription and transaction records are kept for [6] years after the transaction, because tax and accounting law requires it.
Support messages are kept for [24] months after the conversation closes.
Backups are overwritten within [35] days.

Everything else is deleted within [30] days of your request. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchase under their own privacy policies.
